James Arthur wanted Christopher Maloney out of 'X Factor' instead of Ella Henderson.
The 24-year-old wannabe was devastated when he was placed in the bottom two alongside the 16-year-old star earlier this month, and he was disappointed the former cruise ship warbler didn't get voted out of the competition instead of the 'Missed' hitmaker.
James told Now magazine: "I was much more of a fan of Ella Henderson, so I would've preferred to have seen him go that week. But that wasn't the case - it was me versus Ella."
The pop hopeful, who is mentored by Nicole Scherzinger, insists he would "lose a bit of faith" in the ITV1 talent show if Christopher wins 'The X Factor', and he won't be queuing up to buy his album after the competition.
He said: "I personally wouldn't buy his album.
"If Chris was to win, as a punter I'd lose a bit of faith in what the show is looking for."
James and Christopher will both compete in the 'X Factor' semi-finals on Saturday along with Jahmene Douglas, 21, and boy band Union J.
Former supermarket worker Jahmene is currently the bookmakers' favourite to win the series.
