Father Ted star Ardal O'Hanlon is joining the cast of a new Channel 4 comedy based around Irish culture.
London Irish will be aired this autumn. In its launch announcement, the show was described as being about four friends "too drunk to know where they're going, or remember where they've been. If there had been a plan, it wouldn't have been this".
The four in question come from Northern Ireland, but have settled in London together.
The comedian, who's best known for his role as Father Dougal, stars as the father of the family in the new show.
