Wales upbeat about Jenkins

Wales are hopeful their British and Irish Lions prop Gethin Jenkins will be fit for next Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations clash against Scotland in Cardiff.

But his Lions Test front-row colleague, Scarlets hooker Matthew Rees, is battling to play any part in this season’s tournament.

Both players missed Wales’ 30-17 defeat against England two days ago – Jenkins with calf muscle trouble and Rees due to a recurrent groin problem.
