Three held in connection with €7m bank robbery
12/05/2009 - 12:36:29Gardaí investigating the theft of more than €7m from the Bank of Ireland branch at College Green in Dublin city centre have arrested three men this morning.
The raid was carried out last February, with the thieves kidnapping the family of a bank official and forcing him to remove the cash from his workplace.
Gardaí subsequently recovered around €1.74m of the money and have charged two Dublin men with handling the stolen cash.
