Tottenham’s three late transfer window signings – Grzegorz Rasiak, Lee Young-Pyo and Jermaine Jenas – all made their debuts at home to Liverpool.

Ledley King was also back from a groin injury, with Aaron Lennon making the fifth change to the line-up which lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea a fortnight ago.

Michael Dawson, Stephen Kelly, Teemu Tainio and Andy Reid were all dropped, while Mido was suspended for the clash at White Hart Lane following his dismissal against Chelsea.

Peter Crouch made his Liverpool debut after finally recovering from his early-season injury problems and was joined in the side by Djibril Cisse, with Fernando Morientes missing with a hamstring problem.

Steven Gerrard was back in the side, while Stephen Warnock was also selected, with Bolo Zenden, Josemi, Xabi Alonso and Morientes missing out.
