A fine and carefully-compiled documentary about the New York punk band, with no holds barred.
The band’s story comes with heavy slices of tragedy - the deaths of Joey and Dee Dee - but it is full of their raw energy and drive as it explores their life and times.
The directors have given the film their full attention and devotion and it emerges as one of the finest rock docs ever made. It is good to see such fine documentaries increasingly getting their rightful place in mainstream cinema.
