Siamese twins die
10/04/2005 - 11:36:52Conjoined twin girls in Honduras who shared a liver died while awaiting transfer to a US hospital for an operation to separate them.
The twins, Isis Milagro and here sister Isis Esperanza, died within one and a half hours of each other, a month after they were born to Eunice Riera, 26, an assembly plant worker, on March 8.
Doctors had planned to send the twins to a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio for separation.
The cause of death was listed as a lung infection in both cases.
