Scene of Cork fire to be examined
29/11/2008 - 11:33:13Gardaí will carry out an examination at the scene of a fire in Cork city centre later.
The blaze broke out at the old Munster Furniture Store on North Main Street at around 7pm last night. The store is currently operating as a discount clothing store.
Residents and shoppers were evacuated and the fire was brought under control at around 9.30pm.
Extensive damage was caused to the building but there were no injuries.
