Quinlan appeal to be heard in Glasgow today

Alan Quinlan's appeal against his 12-week ban is due to be heard in Glasgow later today.

The Munster flanker was given the suspension for making contact with Leo Cullen's eye area during the Heineken Cup semi-final against Leinster at Croke Park.

He is set to miss the upcoming Lions tour of South Africa if his appeal is not successful.

Last week's original disciplinary hearing deemed the offence was at the low end of seriousness, giving Quinlan some hope for leniency.
