Production up 8.4%

The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for manufacturing industries for the three-month period May to July 2006 was up 8.4% on the preceding three-month period.
On an annual basis production for all industries in July 2006 was 8.4% higher than in July 2005.
The "modern" sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed an annual increase in production for July 2006 of 10.4%, while an increase of 4.8% was recorded in the
"traditional" sector.
The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover for manufacturing industries was 1.5% lower in the three month period May to July 2006 when compared with the preceding three-month period.
On an annual basis turnover in July 2006 was 4.6% higher than in July 2005.
