Mubtaker in warm order
19/09/2005 - 12:34:26Mubtaker is reported to be fine shape ahead of the Cumberland Lodge Stakes at Newmarket on Sunday.
The evergreen eight-year-old is going for a hat-trick of victories when he contests the Group Three contest switched from Ascot after winning Listed events at Goodwood and Doncaster on his last two outings.
“He’s in terrific form, I’m very happy with him, and he’s going very well,” said trainer Marcus Tregoning, who has taken the race for the last two years with High Accolade.
“I think he’ll take all the beating.”
Mubtaker has only been out of the first three on three occasions in 25 career starts, winning 11 times in the process.
