Man shot dead in Dublin
07/09/2005 - 17:47:44A man has been shot dead in Dublin this evening.
Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the shooting in West Dublin, which happened just before 4pm outside the victim's house in Blanchardstown.
The 32-year-old man was shot outside his home at Hazelwood Crescent in Blanchardstown by a man armed with a handgun.
The perpetrator is described as being about 1.72 metres in height and aged between 25 and 35.
He left the scene in a car which has been found burnt out nearby in Meadow Crescent.
The victim was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital where he died in the past hour.
Both scenes are being preserved pending a technical examination.
