Magee back in style

Courageous Belfast fighter Eamonn Magee tonight completed his comeback from an horrific street attack by retaining his WBU welterweight title with a third-round stoppage of Dane Allan Vester.

Doctors told the 33-year-old he would never fight again after being left with multiple injuries including a punctured lung and fractured left knee in February last year.

But Magee tonight proved his doubters wrong with a successful first defence of the title he won in December 2003.
