The parents of a 16-year-old Co Louth boy who died 10 years ago say they will fight on for answers into the cause of his death.

Bernard and Viola Bingham today lost a High Court challenge to an inquest finding that their son Mirek died from a rare brain disorder.

The teenager passed away at the Mater Hospital in Dublin on New Year's Eve in 1999 after weeks in intensive care.

The Binghams argue the coroner's conclusion was based on inconclusive tests.
