LeBlanc shuns movie career
10/02/2005 - 09:43:16Matt LeBlanc snubbed offers to further his movie career when Friends finished because he wasn't prepared to risk failure in the notoriously tough industry.
The Joey star tried to transform his worldwide fame into Hollywood success with parts in Lost in Space and Charlie's Angels, but roles proved hard to come by.
And LeBlanc admits he's far happier fronting his own TV sitcom, because he doesn't have to face losing credibility by teaming up with an incompetent film director who could potentially destroy his career.
The 37-year-old says: "I do look at movies, but they are so hard. They are such a different animal - you're coming into a completely new set of circumstances.
"You don't know if the director's good unless they are a really big director, and I haven't had that luxury. Also, you don't know who the crew is, or know the environment - you're usually filming in a foreign place.
"I like to be able to watch television and go to sleep in my own bed at night."
