Junior Cert 'to be cut in Budget'
01/11/2009 - 10:43:48It is being reported this morning that the Junior Certificate may be axed in the forthcoming Budget.
The Sunday Tribune says that the proposal, which would save the Government around €30m a year, has already been discussed at the Cabinet table.
The end-of-year exams would be replaced with a system of continuous assessment, it has reported.
