HSE computer system ‘plagued with security problems’
14/03/2010 - 11:25:15A HSE computer system, which holds patients records, has been plagued with security flaws and operational problems, it has been reported.
The Sunday Business Post says an internal audit has discovered five "high-level" security risks in the €60m system.
In one instance, catering staff had access codes which would allow them read confidential patient records.
The system is used by 10 acute hospitals and 20 other HSE centres.
