HSA closes Meath bus crash road until works completed
01/06/2005 - 07:32:27The Health and Safety Authority has reportedly ordered the closure of the road in Co Meath where last week's school bus tragedy took place.
Reports this morning said the HSA ordered Meath County Council to close the road between Navan and Kentstown yesterday until work to upgrade the surface was completed.
The reports said the HSA also issued a prohibition notice last Friday temporarily closing down the roadworks because a health and safety plan was not in place and a project supervisor had not been appointed.
The council introduced the plan and appointed the supervisor over the weekend, but the HSA reportedly found "other worrying issues" yesterday and ordered that the road remain closed to traffic until the improvement works had been completed.
