Hedgehunter to defend Aintree Grand National crown
15/11/2005 - 13:58:39Irish trainer Willie Mullins has announced that Hedgehunter will defend his Aintree Grand National crown next April.
The horse is likely to run over hurdles in the coming months in preparation for an attempt to become the first since Red Rum to win the race in consecutive years.
Mullins has hinted that Hedgehunter will also contest the Gold Cup at Leopardstown in February as part of the build-up for the Grand National.
