Gardaí investigate armed raid in Co Laois
19/11/2009 - 13:21:13Gardaí in Co. Laois are investigating an armed raid at a Centra shop and filling station in Ballylinan.
Two masked men entered the premises just after 7am this morning - Gardaí believe they were armed.
They locked the door and tied up the male owner of the shop and his two female assistants.
They made off with a quantity of cash in a black sports-type car which was being driven by a third man.
It is believed the raiders headed in the direction of Athy in Co. Kildare.
