Foster back for United

25/11/2009 - 19:25:47

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster was back between the posts for his side’s Champions League clash with Besiktas at Old Trafford.

Foster last started for the club against Barnsley in the Carling Cup last month but has played two games for England, including the defeat by Brazil 10 days ago.

He then expressed his frustration at dropping down the pecking order at United with the World Cup on the horizon.

With qualification for the last 16 assured, United were looking to top the group and manager Sir Alex Ferguson rang the changes.

Only Nemanja Vidic, Wes Brown and Rafael remained from the team that beat Everton on Saturday. Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda were paired in attack.

Man Utd: Foster, Neville, Vidic, Brown, Rafael Da Silva, Obertan, Gibson, Anderson, Park, Macheda, Welbeck.
