Exports drop prompts fresh concerns for German economy

German exports unexpectedly fell in January - the first monthly fall since August last year as economists blamed freezing winter weather conditions.

Exports from Europe's largest economy fell by 6.3% compared to December, the largest month-on-month drop in a year.
