Drogheda leave it to the last

James Chambers gave Drogheda no more than they deserved at the Carlisle Grounds with a stoppage time winner.
Drogheda had much the better of the game before finally taking the lead on 75 minutes when Jamie Duffy turned superbly inside the area to drill a shot to the far corner of Chris O’Connor’s net.
Bray, who hit a post though Daire Doyle, thought they had snatched a point on 89 minutes. Dave Mulcahy put Dane Massey away for the midfielder to blast a stunning left-foot shot to the far top corner of Steve Williams' net.
But Drogheda got their due reward two minutes into added time.
Ross Gaynor won the ball to put Duffy away down the right and he crossed low for midfielder Chambers to tap home.
Drogheda move four points clear of bottom side Bray and go above Sligo Rovers, for 24 hours at least.
