Customs Officers seize cigarettes at Dublin Port
16/03/2005 - 16:04:06Five million contraband cigarettes worth €1.5m have been seized at Dublin Port.
The "Regal" brand cigarettes were discovered hidden in a container labelled "frozen vegetables" originating from the Ukraine.
This is the third major seizure of cigarettes by Customs officers this year.
A man with an address in Monaghan has been detained and is helping Revenue with their enquiries.
