Croke Park hotel opens for business

A major new landmark for GAA supporters opens for business today right beside Croke Park - the new 4-star Jurys Croke Park Hotel.

Situated on Jones' Road opposite the main Hogan Stand entrance to the famous 82,300-capacity stadium, the hotel, operating on a 34-year lease from the GAA, can expect a busy trade for this weekend's All-Ireland hurling finals.

All of the hotel's 232 rooms are fully booked for Saturday, but there is still some availability for Sunday - the day of the minor and senior deciders.

The All-Ireland football finals weekend of September 24-25 is already booked out as is next year's All-Ireland club final night of March 17.

The new development, which was built at an estimated cost of €30 million, includes the neatly-named "Sideline Bar and Bistro" as well as GAA-related photographs in its decor.
