Cox rages over anorexia claims
01/09/2005 - 12:06:59Actress Courteney Cox has slammed rumours she suffers from an eating disorder, insisting she has simply found her optimum weight.
Critics feared the former Friends star's bony physique would spark a craze for anorexia among young girls, but Cox fumes that she has been used as a scapegoat for rise in food-related illnesses.
She says: "If I like myself a certain way, I shouldn't have to feel like I'm responsible for anorexia across the country.
"I have never had any control over what anyone does, in any capacity. If I like myself at this weight, this is what I'm going to be.
"I don't have an eating disorder. I remember one magazine said: 'Courteney Cox Talks About Her Bulimia.' I didn't even say a word."
