Constructors warn against fixed price contracts
13/05/2004 - 19:31:42The Construction Industry Federation has warned against the implementation of fixed price contracts.
Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy wants to introduce the system in an attempt to control prices and speed up public infrastructural projects.
The CIF has said it wants to see cost effectiveness and value for money.
But contracting director Don O’Sullivan has said fixed price contracts are not the way to achieve that.
