Brown pledges to equip Afghan troops

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is promising to do whatever is necessary to make sure troops in Afghanistan have the equipment they need.

In an interview to mark Remembrance Sunday, Mr Brown said his government is doing "more than ever" to protect frontline soldiers.

On Friday, four former chiefs of the defence staff accused the British government of failing to properly support troops.
