Berlin Love Parade cancelled again
21/04/2005 - 19:24:28Organisers of Berlin’s Love Parade said today that financial problems had forced them to cancel the techno music festival for the second straight year.
Parade organisers said they no longer had enough time to complete negotiations with potential sponsors ahead of the parade’s planned July 9 date. However, they said they were hopeful of reviving the event next year.
“We will do everything to find a solution that allows a comeback of the beloved Berlin parade in the year of the soccer World Cup, in a constructive dialogue with the state of Berlin, with industry and with the media,” they said in a statement.
