Baby falls from window into woman's arms
22/04/2008 - 12:55:48A baby that fell from a second-storey window was caught by a passing postwoman in a million-to-one chance.
Lisa Harrell was delivering mail in Albany, New York yesterday when she noticed a baby in a window above the front door.
She said the next thing she knew, the baby had fallen into her arms.
When the baby’s mother realised what happened, she ran outside and grabbed the girl.
The woman thanked Ms Harrell and then ran down the street to her mother’s house.
Paramedics checked the baby at the scene but found no injuries.
No charges are being filed against the mother, who said she had placed her daughter on a bed that was up against the open window and her back was turned when her daughter crawled out.
