Armagh to include full-back Bellew
09/05/2006 - 11:52:24Francie Bellew is expected to be named in the Armagh team to play Monaghan on Sunday, despite concerns over his recent shoulder injury.
The 30-year-old full-back, who works as a fitter, hurt his shoulder at work late last month and did not line out in the Orchard county's 1-14 to 1-12 challenge match win over Meath at Walterstown last Saturday.
But Armagh boss Joe Kernan has admitted that Bellew's absence was "precautionary" and that he would be able to face Monaghan in the Ulster SFC first-round clash with Monaghan.
Bellew received intensive treatement on his shoulder while away on Armagh's five-day training camp in La Manga, Spain. They returned home last Tuesday.
Hamstring injury victims OisÃn McConville and Ronan Clarke both started the Meath game, and are due to feature in Clones on Sunday as Armagh get their bid for a sixth Ulster title in eight seasons off the ground.
Kernan names his starting side tomorrow night.
