Aniston 'wants to have a family'
30/01/2006 - 18:00:14Jennifer Aniston says she has put her divorce from Brad Pitt behind her and wants to start work on building her own family this year.
The Friends star, who has been linked with fellow actor Vince Vaughn, told InStyle magazine it was almost a year of hard work and soul-searching before she was ready for romance again.
“I didn’t ever walk out with the intention of ’I gotta start dating again’,” she said.
“You just wake up one day and you start to feel like, ’Yeah, I think I’m open to that now’.
“It’s not mapped out. It just sort of happened.” She added: “I hope to be on the road to having a family in the next year.
“I’ve said this before and I desperately don’t want to repeat myself, but I just like being in a partnership.”
Speaking about her divorce from Pitt, who is now expecting a baby with Angelina Jolie, Aniston said: “I feel good to have everybody sort of moving on from it.”
The actress said she would ideally like to have two children.
And she revealed that her plans for 2006 include buying a house, reading more books and starting writing a diary again.
“I’ve been on and off with it,” she said.
“I had a boyfriend who read my journal, like, 15 years ago, and it bummed me out.
“Now I find myself writing cryptically, not writing full names, as though somebody someday will dig this up.”
She also has plans to produce a film she “fell in love with”.
Aniston added: “I haven’t felt this excited and passionate about something in a long time.
“I want to be in it, and I’m thrilled about getting my hands in all areas.
“The movie is already in the works, and hopefully we’ll get it made sometime this year.”
