The leader of the Labour party, Ruairi Quinn, has joined his opposition colleagues in calling for the resignation of Junior Minister Ned O’Keefe from the Department of Agriculture.

The leader of the Labour party, Ruairi Quinn, has joined his opposition colleagues in calling for the resignation of Junior Minister Ned O’Keefe from the Department of Agriculture.

The Minister is currently the subject of a Public Offices Commission investigation after it was revealed that he did not declare his family business interests to the Dail.

The Fine Gael deputy leader, Jim Mitchell, has also called for the transfer of Mr O’Keefe from the department in the interests of public confidence.
