No details released yet on teenage road victim

Gardai have not yet named the teenage man killed in a road accident in Co Kilkenny yesterday evening.

The 18-year-old died when the car he was driving overturned at Newtown, near Kells.

Two other passengers are recovering in hospital.

Meanwhile, the second victim of yesterday's fatal road crash in Charleville, Co Cork is believed to have been from Kilrush in Co Clare.

He was a passenger in the van which was in collision with a lorry between Charleville and Ballyhea. He has not yet been named by gardai.

The other victim, who was driving the van, has been named as Jim O'Neill, aged 23, from Baker's Rd in Charleville.
