Manchester United have dismissed claims that they had booked the Orient Express for the FA Cup final.
The club insist they had no plans to use the famous train to carry the squad and directors to this season’s final in Cardiff.
United’s director of communications Paddy Harverson claimed it was untrue, just like the reports that the club had already booked their hotel accommodation for the finals of the FA Cup and Champions League.
Harverson said: ‘‘Manchester United have denied that they have booked the Orient Express.
‘‘The club had not made any plans regarding accommodation or travel for the FA Cup final in Cardiff.
‘‘There is no truth in these reports or that we have booked a hotel for the Champions League final in Milan.
‘‘We do not want our fans or the fans of other clubs to be misled about the club’s activities.’’
