A Russian helicopter has crashed in the Arctic, killing all 11 people on board.
The helicopter went down in a remote area of Russia's Chukotka Peninsula near Alaska, about 4,700 miles north-east of Moscow.
The Mi-8 was carrying eight passengers and three crew members when it crashed into the tundra, says emergancy spokesman Andrei Rulyov.
More than 12,000 Mi-8 helicopters and its subtypes have been produced in the Soviet Union and then Russia since 1961, and many are now reaching the limit of their service life.
