Arnaud Clement won third and fourth set tie-breaks to win against Yevgeny Kafelnikov in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Arnaud Clement won third and fourth set tie-breaks to win against Yevgeny Kafelnikov in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Clement dispatched the Russian 6-4 5-7 7-6 7-6, despite suffering a calf injury during the opening exchanges.

The win puts the Frenchman into the last four of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time ever.
