Minister of State Liz O’Donnell, is meeting representatives of Irish aid agencies to discuss humanitarian aid after the earthquakes in India and El Salvador.

Minister of State Liz O’Donnell, is meeting representatives of Irish aid agencies to discuss humanitarian aid after the earthquakes in India and El Salvador.

The talks will focus on progress in the ongoing emergency rescue and humanitarian operations.

Ireland has proved to be one of the leading donors of emergency assistance in both countries with £1.5m sent.

At least 14,000 people died in the 7.7 magnitude India quake, which left 60,000 injured and 600,000 homeless.
