Escaped prisoner found in Dublin

A prisoner who escaped while being transferred from Dublin to Cork prison was recaptured last night.

A prisoner who escaped while being transferred from Dublin to Cork prison was recaptured last night.

24-year-old Patrick Brazil was picked up in Darndale in north Dublin after a week on the run.

He broke free from prison officers in Rathcoole, Co Dublin after threatening them with a blood-filled syringe.

He has been returned to a cell in Mountjoy prison.
