Minister of State Liz O'Donnell has said she remains concerned at the slow rate of change of Ireland's asylum policy, and has admitted she is worried at elements of her own Government's response to the problem.
She blasted the policy as a "shambles" two years ago.
The Progressive Democrat has come out this morning against what she views as "the security-led policies towards asylum seekers driven by the Department of Justice".
Minister O'Donnell says housing, training and trauma counselling still have to be addressed.
