The 2000 All-Stars have beaten their 1999 counterparts by 9-14 to 5-16 in a challenge match at the Exiles' ground in Dubai.

Galway's Padraig Joyce got a hat-trick of goals for the winners, with Derry's Enda Muldoon grabbing two more and Armagh's Oisin McConville and Anthony Rainbow of Kildare hitting one each for Paidi O'Se's side.

Dublin's Ciaran Whelan was the main star for the 1999 side with his team's hat-trick, with Graham Geraghty of Meath also weighing in with a goal.

The players visibly wilted in the heat as the game wore on, although they were helped by the splitting of the match into three segments to compensate for the warm conditions.
