One in hospital after Derry mortar attack

One man has been treated in hospital for shock and slight injuries after a mortar attack on a British army base in Derry last night.

One man has been treated in hospital for shock and slight injuries after a mortar attack on a British army base in Derry last night.

The area was evacuated and sealed off and bomb disposal experts are currently examining the scene.

It is believed one missile was fired at the base and another remains unexploded in the van from which it was launched.
