Police step up hunt for internet rapist

Police today stepped up their hunt for a man who raped an 18-month-old girl and filmed himself doing it.

Officers found the pictures when they raided the Kent home of Ronald Fuller, who was jailed for 18 months last year.

He had downloaded the images from the Internet, placed there by the unidentified paedophile.

Scotland Yard issued a picture of the man, that shows just half of his face, to the News of the World, whose artists reconstructed what his full face could look like in a bid to catch him.

This comes after the paper launched its For Sarah campaign in the wake of the murder of eight-year-old school girl Sarah Payne, who was abducted and murdered last July near her grandparents’ home at Kingston Gorse.

The picture shows a heavily bearded man sat back in a chair with a white T-shirt that has black writing on it.

He is white, with dark hair and appears to be sat in what looks like an office, with a shelf unit containing files behind him.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘‘The picture has been released as part of ongoing investigations by the Met’s Paedophile Unit and the National Crime Squad.

‘‘Police are anxious to identify the man who is believed to be involved in the serious sexual assault of children. His picture had been posted on the Internet.

‘‘Anyone with information should contact the Met’s Child Pornography Information Line on 0808 1000040," he added.
