Celtic defender Alan Stubbs has been given the all clear from the testicular cancer he had suffered.

The player was readmitted to hospital in November last year after a relapse.

He was originally diagnosed as having testicular cancer following a routine drugs test after the Scottish Cup Final in May 1999.

Stubbs has been told he can play football again but no timescale has been put on his return to the Celtic team.
