Strong UDA link to pipe bombs - RUC

The RUC Chief Constable Sir Ronnie Flanagan has said the majority of pipe bomb attacks in the North involve people who have been members of the Ulster Defence Assocation.

The RUC Chief Constable Sir Ronnie Flanagan has said the majority of pipe bomb attacks in the North involve people who have been members of the Ulster Defence Assocation.

Sir Ronnie Flanagan was speaking as a couple and their two young children escaped injury after a device was thrown through the window of their house in Derry.

There have been about fifty such attacks in the North so far this year.
