Young swimmer still in critical condition
A young man remains in a critical condition at Waterford University Hospital this morning after he got into difficulty while swimming in Co Wexford last night.
The incident happened at Duncannon beach at some time between 7 – 7.50pm.
The alarm was raised and emergency services including the coastguard unit from Fethard attended the scene.
The man was taken by ambulance to Waterford University hospital where his condition is described as critical.
