A 17-year-old man has died and three others have been injured following a crash in Co Cork.

A 17-year-old man has died and three others have been injured following a crash in Co Cork.

The single vehicle collision happened on the Mallow to Lisgriffin Road at around 4.15pm this afternoon.

One of the occupants of the car, a 17-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and three others have been taken to hospital for treatment. Their condition is not yet known.

The road at Lisgriffin is closed as a result while gardaí examine the scene.
