Yellow alert for cold conditions remains in place
A yellow weather alert for snow and ice remains in place around the country this morning.
Drivers are being warned to take care on the roads this morning, as there is a risk of ice on untreated routes.
Areas such as Ulster, north Leinster and parts of east Connacht -particularly over high ground - are said to be where the worst conditions are.
The Met Éireann alert is in effect until 11am today.
