Workers strike at Musgrave plant in Cork

A total of 135 workers at the Musgrave chill warehouse in Cork are to go on strike today.
The SIPTU members are accusing management of reneging on commitments it made to them over terms and conditions.
The retail company, which supplies a number of major supermarkets around the country, was formally told about the strike action last Thursday.
Karen O'Loughlin from SIPTU said that they will be maintaining a constant picket until a resolution is found.
"It centres, really, around the company's position on forcing through the implementation of a Labour Court recommendation that hasn't been agreed," she said.
"The dispute started as an indefinite dispute, so our people will be manning a 24/7 picket until which time until we can come to an agreed resolution with the company."
