Woman still held in connection with death of Donegal pensioner

Gardaí in Co Donegal are continuing to question a woman in her 50s over the death of pensioner Seamus Doherty.

Gardaí in Co Donegal are continuing to question a woman in her 50s over the death of pensioner Seamus Doherty.

Last night gardaí released a man in his 40s who had also been detained over the death of the 67-year-old.

A file will now be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Mr Doherty died at a house near Churchill village in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

A murder inquiry was launched after a post mortem found he had died in suspicious circumstances.
